Liaison Interpreting
Liaison Interpreting implies short passages interpreted one after another during round-table negotiations, and involves neither interpreting booth nor portable interpreting equipment. For liaison interpreting, our experienced, qualified interpreters work both into and out of their mother tongue.
Benefits:
- No need for a simultaneous interpreting booth.
- As a rule, just one interpreter suffices.
Drawbacks:
- Such interpreting may prolong the time required for the event, and therefore programming must take this into consideration.
- May result in short pauses (for interpretation), which may initially be uncomfortable for those unaccustomed to international environments.
Fields of use:
- Negotiations and talks held on a small scale within a corporate environment
- Business trips, trade fairs.
- Notaries, courts of law, police stations, law offices.
